3rd in a series of flower tattoo designs with an eyeball theme. This one took more of a wild persona, with its inhuman iris and strange white tendrils emerging from the flower. I experimented with a dot-work inspired technique of using progressively more concentrated black ink to make the dotted fade effect you can see framing the piece. I used this to mimic the whip fade technique used in tattooing, in this application it's intended to frame and draw the focus to the center of the piece by creating contrast between the light center and dark fade.
